crowd in Rapid City.

I have only known Ken for three years but in that time I have come to know him as a very hard working and straight forward person. He doesn’t spend all of his time talking and telling you how smart he is. He spends a lot of time listening to what you think. When he speaks it is well thought out with a simple common sense that make his ideas easy to understand. I am proud to call him a friend and will be even more proud to see him in Pierre bringing a common sense approach to government.

Grant Seaman, Bank President, Warner

Ken Knuppe in our eyes is and always has been:
* Approachable, willing to listen and learn as well as teach.
* Level headed, focused
* A "no strings attached" kind of guy.  He works to do what is right, when it's right, no matter who it is right for.  He is not plotting a personal agenda.
* Knows how to stretch a dollar.  With a ranching, self-employed background, he knows how to manage the dollar to get the most from it.
 We need to focus on the future of our children and our grandchildren. We feel strongly this is where Ken's devotion lies.

Dean and Delia Johnson, rancher, Fairburn

I have known Ken for years and believe that he is the man that South Dakota needs as governor. With agriculture representing 40% of the jobs in our state, he is our man - he not only knows agriculture, he lives it. With animal rights, property rights, and land management coming under fire, we need a leader that will put the right people in place to protect South Dakota the selfish agendas of special interest groups.

Rick Fox, rancher, Hermosa

I met Ken about 15 years ago through the Stockgrower Association.  It was obvious to me right away that Ken was one whom you could count on to get things done efficiently and honestly.  I admire his diplomacy and unceasing manner of getting a job done.  That is the kind of character that built this country and the kind of person that Mr. Knuppe strives to be in his work and family life.  We need Governor candidate, Ken Knuppe, to bring back respect for an honest day's work and make state government responsible to us, the taxpayers.

South Dakota needs Ken Knuppe as it's governor because he's different. He's not a run-of-the-mill politician that is only looking for more political gain, but an honest, hard-working rancher that knows what it is like to work for what he has. He won't be one to back down in the face of adversity.

Let’s put an honest man in the governor’s mansion.  In my years of knowing Ken, I have never questioned his honesty.  Honesty and integrity are the framework of who Ken is. His word is good.  I believe in Ken, and I am honored to call Ken my friend.

Lester Longwood, Rancher, Lemmon, S.D.

It is refreshing to see a small business man run for public office.  Ken Knuppe has operated a family ranch all of his life and understands how government affects people in a way that a long-term professional politician likely does not.  Being successful in agricultural production is not easy, and Ken’s approach to business and family life would be good for South Dakota.
